Long awaited Baby/Safety Gate -February 9, 2025
I’ve lived in this house for so long that it’s hard to believe I’m just now getting this done. Over the years, I’ve raised four children, run a daycare for five more, and now have a grandchild. This 1800s home features tall trim, making it nearly impossible for standard baby gates to fit properly. For years, I’ve dealt with pressure gates that either fall or are easily pulled down by little ones. Finally, I decided to create a permanent solution using 1x4s and 1x6s, ensuring that all the little ones who pass through my home will stay safely where they belong. Now, my custom-built gate perfectly fits my stairs, bringing both safety and peace of mind. Painted white to match of course.
