Banana Bread

Banana bread is the perfect way to use up overripe bananas, turning them into a delicious and comforting treat. This tried-and-true recipe has been a favorite of mine for years. For a delightful twist, mix in a cup of chocolate chips or 1/2 cup of walnuts to add extra flavor and texture!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup Unbleached Flour

1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1/4 tsp. Baking Soda

1/4 tsp. Ceylon Cinnamon

1 large Egg

1 cup. Mashed Bananas – equal to 3-4 bananas

3/4 cup sugar (or substitute 2/3 cup honey)

1/4 cup Oil

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease the bottom of a bread pan and up the sides only a 1/2 inch.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Make a well in the center and set aside.
  • In a second mixing bowl add egg, bananas, sugar, and oil. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour into the well of the dry mix.
  • Stir until just moist. Should be lumpy. Do not over-stir.
  • Pour batter evenly into the pan.
  • Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 50-55 minutes or until an inserted wooden toothpick comes out clean.
  • Enjoy!
