We dont buy crackers in a box anymore! Why would you when you can create crackers at home in any flavor you like? This is my favorite flavor of Sourdough Discard Cracker.
Ingredients:
400 grams Sourdough Discard
1 cup Shredded Parmesan
1 1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp. Celtic Salt
4 Tbsp. Melted Butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Stir together the sourdough discard, shredded parmesan, salt, melted butter, and Italian seasoning.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter over the parchment paper reading evenly to a thin consistency.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cut the dough into squares the size of 1-inch crackers with a pasta cutter or pizza cutter.
- Place back in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
- When the 1 hour has passed, turn off the oven and allow the crackers to remain in the oven for another 1 or 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove from the oven, and break into pieces.
- Store in a glass container with a lid.
