Protobello Mushroom Pizza

This is the perfect snack to satisfy your pizza cravings—delicious, flavorful, and a healthier alternative! Using a rich, meaty portobello mushroom as the base instead of a traditional crust adds a hearty texture while keeping it light and nutritious. These mini pizzas are absolutely amazing and a must-try for any pizza lover!

Ingredients:

4-6 Portobello Mushroom Caps (cleaned and patted dry)

2 Tbsp. Avacado Oil or Olive Oil

1 tsp. Italian Seasoning

1 tsp. garlic powder

2 cloves garlic

1/2 cup Pizza Sauce

1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1/4 shredded Parmesan Cheese

Your favorite toppings ( pepperoni, black olives, onion, etc.)

Instructions:

  • Preheat over to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a spoon to scrape out the gills on the inside of the mushroom cap.
  • Wash and pat dry the mushroom caps.
  • Lay your mushroom caps on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Drizzle the inside of the mushroom cap with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle the inside of the mushroom cap with Italian Seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Mince (or press) the garlic and sprinkle into the mushroom caps.
  • Spread a layer of pizza sauce into the mushroom caps out to the edges.
  • Add a layer of mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Top with your favorite toppings.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted
  • Enjoy!
