Roasted Garlic

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m a huge garlic lover! In my opinion, there’s no such thing as too much garlic, though I may have toned down some recipes for my readers. Roasted garlic is a game-changer in the kitchen, adding a rich, mellow depth of flavor to countless dishes. It’s a must-have ingredient, so knowing how to make it is essential!

Ingredients:

2 heads of Garlic

Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Avacado Oil

Instructions:

  • Preheat over to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cut 1/2 inch of the tops off of your garlic, horizontally removing the top, exposing all garlic cloves.
  • Place in the center of a large square piece of foil large enough to wrap around the head of garlic entirely. (**For this step, you may want to double the foil to prevent leakage in the oven.)
  • Drizzle the cloves lightly with the oil to include each exposed clove.
  • Wrap the foil up around the garlic head loosely.
  • Place the heads on a baking sheet or baking dish.
  • Roast in the oven for 50 minutes.
  • Allow to cool slightly, cloves should slide out easily by squeezing from the bottom of the clove upward.
